Summer
Something happens to me around this time of year. I settle into my Summer self. Shirtless days, and short sleeve nights, make me smile incessantly. I woke up with the sun this morning around 5:45am. After a strong cup of Peet’s Colombian, I feel euphoric.

Sick
I get sick so rarely, I forget how awful it is. Last week was an ugly reminder of what happens when the body takes on some unwanted bacteria/virus. It’s a good thing I work from home, otherwise I would have been screwed.

Minutes
Last month I had to change my AT&T plan due to the ridiculous increase in my usage. My old plan was 450 anytime minutes, free mobile to mobile and nights and weekends. Since most of my friends have iPhones and I usually just text it worked out well. I even had rollover minutes every month. Then I start the “Association” and burned through 450 anytime, and 523 rollover minutes...
Day and a half
Crazy day… The Traction Food Truck Lot went very well. I did interviews with CBS, KCAL, ABC, LA Times, Univision (not in Spanish), TvK Korean TV, some food magazine, and the USC paper. I felt like I said the same thing over and over again. Hopefully I didn’t sound ridiculous.
The rest of the night is going to be an Artwalk (the DT gateway drug) kinda party.
Working
I think running a trade organization is pretty good training for becoming a politician. There is a mini-constituency, I have to watch what I say on camera, and there is a mix of people that hate what I’m doing (restaurant owners) and love what I’m doing (food trucks and their followers).
